Met Éireann have warned localised flooding also possible
Met Eireann have issued a moderate yellow level rain warning for Louth.
The warning is due to take effect from 5am tomorrow (Thursday) until 5am on Friday morning.
Met Eireann say to expect rain and sleet coupled with blustery easterly winds with localised flooding also possible.
Counties also covered by the warning include, Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wexford and Wicklow.
Elsewhere, Met Éireann has also updated status yellow snow and ice warnings to include Clare, Tipperary, Galway, Laois, Westmeath, Offaly and Wicklow.
Sleet and snow may accumulate and turn to rainfall, contributing to dangerous driving conditions in these counties. The warnings are in place until 3am Thursday, February 8 to 1pm the same day.
The status yellow warning was originally in place for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon and Longford but has now been extended to cover more of the country.
Poor visibility and ice on untreated surfaces are being forecast in those counties. The warning for the latter counties is in place from 5am this Thursday until 8pm that night.
