Former Rock Celtic schoolboy Jimmy Dunne has penned a loan deal with Joey Barton's Fleetwood Town.
The Burnley defender, who played for Sunderland and Hearts on a temporary basis last term, has moved to the League One side for the season.
It means Dunne will work under former England midfielder Joey Barton, who manages The Cody Army.
The 21-year-old will wear the number 12 shirt at Highbury.
“We are really pleased to boost our defensive ranks with the signing of Jimmy on loan for the season,” Barton said of his latest signing.
“Despite his young age, he has a lot of experience and knows the division having spent time at Sunderland last season.
“We’re sure he will add to what is a really exciting squad, and we look forward to seeing his qualities in a Fleetwood Town shirt.”
