Bellurgan United 0-2 Boyne Harps
Bellurgan United suffered defeat at the hands of the champions, Boyne Harps, at Flynn Park on Sunday morning.
Two quickfire first half goals proved decisive in favour of the Drogheda side.
United had much of the play and went close to the breakthrough via Ciarán Sheelan early on and while they pushed on in the second half, Boyne could easily have added a few on the breakaway.
Nonetheless, Bellurgan manager Jason McConville can be pleased with the performance of his young guns, even in defeat.
Bellurgan United: Robert Arthur; Owen Traynor, Jason Long, Stephen Finnegan, Gerard Browne; Shane Finnegan, Barry Dunne, Daniel McDonald, Tadhg O’Connor; Niall Donnelly, Ciarán Sheelan
Subs: John Smyth, Luke Higgins, Shane O’Brien, Coran Lindsay
