Today, ten members of the White River Wheelers cycling club from Dunleer will be attempting the challenge of cycling approximately 600 kilometres from Ireland's southernmost point (Mizen Head in Cork) to the northernmost point (Malin Head) in 24 hours.

The ultimate goal is to raise funds for two charities: SAFE (Suicide Awareness For Everyone) Castlebellingham and the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre. These charities provide crucial support for those affected by suicide and cancer, causes that touch too many families.

The challenge will start at noon and every penny raised will go directly to these organizations.

Donations can be made via iDonate: www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/WhiteRiverWheelers

“Additionally, you can help us spread the word by sharing our page using the Share options. Your support in any form is greatly appreciated.”

Riders taking part in the campaign include, Martin Hughes, Gary Hughes, Andrew McAfee, Jim Ryan, Peter McKeown, Paul O'Donnell, Ian McCaffrey, Graeme Smyth, Thomas Mallon and Chris Fussey.
