Tributes have rushed in following the passing of Phill Scannell, a loving husband and father of three from Louth.
Phill was from Mullacapple, Collon, Louth and passed away unexpectedly at home.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Linda & Children Sophie, Megan & Ryan, extended family, relatives and friends.
"To Linda, Sophie, Megan & Ryan, there are no words that seem appropriate at this awful time.
It is heartbreaking that this has happened to your lovely family. Phil was a great Dad, and a very familiar sight to us all in Collon N.S. over the years. His love and care for his family was clear to see. May your many happy memories give you some comfort, in time. Our thoughts and love are with you now, and will be in the weeks, months and years to come as you navigate your loss," a tribute read.
"Our deepest sympathies to Linda and family. We’re heartbroken at the news of our dear friend and colleague Phill, our big friendly giant. He will be greatly missed. His energy and company was always a pleasure to be around. Rest in peace our Phil," another message read.
"There are no words to convey the sadness on hearing Phils passing. He was an absolute gentlemen and he will be sorely missed by all of us. Linda, Sophie, Megan and Ryan we are heartbroken for you all. A beautiful family that Phil absolutely adored and was so proud of you all. Phil is in heaven where all the special ones go. Sending love and strength to you all," another read.

Funeral Arrangements:
Reposing at Watters Funeral Home, Collon A92YV80 Wednesday 5pm to 7pm.
Thursday to arrive at the Church of Mary Immaculate, Collon, for Funeral Mass at 12noon.
Burial Afterwards in the New Cemetery, Collon.
The family has requested that there be family flowers Only, and donations can be made to Irish Heart Foundation for those that wish to do so.
