Pictures from the Bellurgan United FC Senior Women's and Men's Awards Ceremony 2026, which was held in McGeough's Bar and Restaurant, Dundalk, last Friday evening.

Also attending were members of the U16 team to celebrate the achievements of the teams and players throughout the 25/26 season.
MC for the night was club child welfare office Brona Mackin, proceedings got underway with a drinks reception, followed by a buffet meal, awards ceremony and then dancing.
A great evening was had by all attending, which included committee members, parents and of course players. Brona welcomed everyone to the event and thanked everyone for coming to support the players on their special evening.
The success of the women’s team was highlighted throughout the proceedings, having won both league and cup competitions for the 25/26 season with their goalkeeper Una Pearsons and captain Claire Callan also picking up national awards at a recent ceremony.
The women’s team are once again in a very strong position going into the new season, with more silverware still to play for this season, lot of credit for the women and girls success was given to club member Austin Traynor which Brona illuded to.
Austin set out with a mission some years back to have a competitive women’s team, this has now transformed in to the club having girls teams in all age groups and competing with the best in the country.
A special presentation was made to the women’s managerial team. Clare Callan and Tara Nevin presented Austin Traynor and John Morris with crystal vases, while Clare Callan made a presentation to Tara Nevin.
This was to show the team's appreciation for the time and dedication shown to the team throughout the current campaign.
A warm welcome was given to the new senior men’s management team, who were present on the night: Stefan McKevitt and Alec Bothwell. They wished all the best for the upcoming season.
The presentation ceremony continued with winners announced in all categories. The evening was a huge success and was enjoyed by everyone attending.

U16 Most improved player – Lauren Traynor, and receiving
U16 Player of the Year – Emma Toale
Women’ s Player of the Year – Lynn Craven, and receiving the Michael O’Connor Memorial Trophy.
Women’s Top Goal Scorer – (joint winners) Claire Callan and Becca Cowley, and receiving the Gene Lambe Memorial Trophy.
Senior Men NEFL Friday Team Top Goalscorer and receiving the Ronan Goss Memorial Shield - Tadgh O’Connor
Senior Men NEFL Friday Team Player of the Year and receiving the Ciaran Casey Memorial Trophy – Ray Finnegan
Senior Men NEFL Saturday Team Top Goalscorer and receiving the Eamon Carroll Memorial Shield – Adam McDonnell
