The Republic of Ireland will take on Greece in Athens this Friday night
THE Republic of Ireland take on Greece this Friday night in a crucial Euro 2024 Group B qualifier.
Stephen Kenny's side started their qualification campaign with a narrow 1-0 defeat against World Cup finalists France at the Aviva Stadium in March.
Ireland will be looking to bring the positives from that performance into this Friday's match against Greece and Monday's home qualifier against Gilbraltar.
Fixture: Greece v Republic of Ireland
Venue: Opap Arena in Athens,
Kick-off: 7.45pm (Irish time).
Weather: Temperatures are forecast to hit 30 degrees in Greece this Friday, although it will be closer to 20 degrees come kick-off time with clear skies and little wind.
TV: There will be live coverage on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player from 7pm.
