On October 21 2018, after a short illness, Kathleen Hamill passed away, surrounded by her close friends in New Jersey, USA.
Kathleen has joined her parents, John and Annie, her brother Seán and her sister Maureen in their heavenly home.
Kathleen attended Saint Malachy’s Primary School, Saint Vincent’s Secondary School and Sion Hill College of Home Economics.
She taught in Saint Vincent’s for a number of years and is still fondly remembered by many of her pupils. After going to America, and having obtained a Master’s in Children’s Literacy, she continued to work in education.
In later years, she gained a Master’s in Psychology and worked in a therapeutic setting until her retirement.
During all these years, she continued to visit Ireland regularly and maintain close links. Her five sisters, three brothers and a large circle of extended family and friends, both in Ireland and America, are all deeply saddened by Kathleen’s death.
On Sunday, November 25 2018, in the Church of the Holy Family, Kathleen will be remembered in a Month’s Mind Mass at 11.00 a.m.
Kathleen, you travelled by many streams and trails of the ancient world. May we be enthused by your inspirational life.
