Dundalk playmaker Patrick McEleney is set for talks with numerous cross-water clubs in the next week, though it remains a possibility that he could sensationally re-join with hometown side Derry City.
The Derry Journal are reporting this morning that the 25-year-old will meet representatives from English League One outfits Blackburn Rovers, Doncaster Rovers and Oldham Athletic in the coming days. He has also been linked with a transfer to Wigan Athletic.
However, it's also understood that McEleney held talks with Derry boss Kenny Shiels yesterday and that a move to the Brandywell could be on if he fails to agree a move to England.
Dundalk are also said to have offered him a new deal.
