The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has alerted the public across Ireland to an urgent recall being carried out amid serious risk to children.
Allison Baby UK is carrying out a recall of the Joie Serina Swivel (Elephant Duo) as sold in Smyths Toys.

The product presents a risk of injuries. Failure of the steel bolt that secures the seat unit to the frame may result in unexpected separation of the seat from the base.
The brand is Joie. The model number is W1306DAELD000. The affected manufacturing dates (batch numbers) are 190225,200225,210225 & 220225. The product identification sticker is located on the underside of the swing arm and seat.

There are approximately 1794 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
The product was sold via Smyths stores and online.

Customers are advised to check the manufacturing date (batch number) on the product identification sticker. If the product is affected or if you are unsure, stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.
Customers can avail of a free of charge collection of the product, or return to Smyths stores and receive either a full refund or upgrade to the Joie Serina 2 in 1.
