Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian which occurred in the Tubrid More area, Ardfert, county Kerry on Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 9:20 pm.
The pedestrian, a male in his 30s, was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle had left the scene before arrival of Gardaí.
The scene has been examined and the road has since fully reopened to traffic.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them.

Any road users who were travelling between Ardfert village, Tubrid More, Doon North, Lislosse, R556 Tralee /Abbeydorney Road and the main road between Abbeydorney and Ardfert between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Monday the 2nd of March 2026, who witnessed anything or may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make contact with investigating Gardaí.
