RIP: Young man (18) dies following car and e-bike crash in Waterford City

The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course

A young man has died in hospital following a crash involving a car and e-bike in Waterford City just days ago. 

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to this serious road traffic collision, which occurred on Cork Road (R680) at approximately 7:45pm on Sunday, November 16.

The 18-year-old cyclist was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries. He has now sadly passed away. 
 
 
The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision come forward.

Any road users with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from the area at the time, are asked to provide it to investigating Gardaí.
