In a post accompanying a video of the damage, they warned: "During the NCT inspection, our inspector discovered a snapped rear swingarm! This component plays a BIG role in your vehicle's steering, handling, and stability.
"Don't let a small issue turn into a big problem! Don't skip on your annual service," they added.
The discovery has sparked alarm among drivers online, with testers stressing how vital regular checks and servicing are to prevent such dangerous wear and tear from going unnoticed.

A snapped swingarm can cause a car to lose control suddenly, creating a serious risk of a crash, particularly at high speeds.
The NCT's warning serves as a reminder that even small faults can quickly become disastrous if ignored.
Motorists are being urged to stay on top of servicing schedules and to have any unusual noises or handling issues checked immediately before they become a threat.
