NCT issues warning to drivers as motorist uses strange household item in dodgy repair job

The NCT has warned motorists not to get fooled by quick fixes after sharing a video on social media of a car which was presented at one of their test centres that had been 'repaired' using paper.

The video shared by the NCT shows the attempted sill repair which used paper and which broke apart the moment it was touched. 

The NCT said: "You can clearly see the repairer has attempted to repair the sill with paper but by simply touching, it tears!"

According to the NCT, this is just one example of the many low-quality repair jobs that are constantly being presented for tests and retests at NCT centres across the country.

They have urged all motorists to inspect vehicles thoroughly before buying them or have a reputable mechanic do it for you.
