The fatal collision occurred on the R753 between Ballinaclash and Aughrim in County Wicklow
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a young man died in hospital following a two-car collision in County Wicklow.
The alarm was raised at around 8.35am on Thursday and emergency services subsequently attended the scene of the collision that occurred on the R753 between Ballinaclash and Aughrim.
"The driver of one vehicle, a man aged in his 20s sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin. He has since passed away as a result of his injuries," confirmed a garda spokesperson.
According to gardai, a female child who was a passenger in the second vehicle was conveyed to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin as a precaution.

They are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward and any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
