Tayto Crisps
In an incredibly strange recall of one of Ireland's most popular brands, Tayto crisps have announced a number of products in their line have been recalled following a discovery of fragments of golf balls in "a small number of packs" of the famous Irish brand.
The products that have been affected are those in which the best before date reads 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of August 2024.
The list of the products which have been affected are:
-Tayto Cheese & Onion 37g
-Tayto Salt & Vinegar 37g
-Tayto Cheese & Onion 6 pack (6x25g)
-Tayto Variety 6 pack (6x25g)
-Tayto Cheese & Onion 6 pack flashed €2.50 (6x25g)
-Tayto Variety 6 pack flashed €2.50 (6x25g)
-Tayto Cheese & Onion 10 pack flashed €3.75 (10x25g)
-Tayto Cheese & Onion 12 pack (12x25g)
Anybody who has purchased the products with the above best before date, should get a refund from point of purchase.
The precautionary recall of the crisps, according to Tayto has been made "in the best interests of our customers and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."
"We are working closely with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and with our customers to ensure the potentially affected product is no longer available for purchase."
