Irish actor Niamh Algar has paid tribute to her beloved sister who she says taught here everything.
In a heartfelt tribute, the BAFTA winning actor wrote: "There are simply no words to describe the pain in losing a big sister. My heart is broken".
"She taught me everything, she touched and inspired so many she met and worked with, and accomplished more in her short life than most people would achieve in several lifetimes. She fought the Everest of all cancers and managed it with so much dignity, humility and strength.
"She's my hero and forever will be. Her kids are her world and the most beautiful extensions of her, an extraordinary legacy that I will forever be in awe of.
"I love you Lynne, you will never be forgotten," Niamh wrote.
She thanked the incredible medical teams at Beaumont, the Mater Hospital and the Irish Cancer Society.
Oscar winning actress Julianne Moore wrote: "Oh Niamh, I’m so sorry. Sending you and your family love. I’m thinking about you".
Bressie wrote: "I am so sorry Niamh. Your sister was an incredible force of nature. My very deepest condolences to you and all the family".
As Lynne passed away on Daffodil Day, Niamh and her family have urged people to support the Irish Cancer Society's Daffodil Day appeal. The family has also asked people to please donate to Brain Tumour Ireland
