A man is in a critical condition following an assault in Co Cork.
The incident occurred at approximately 8.55pm on Friday in a car park on the Newtown Road, Cobh.
The victim, in his early 30s, was taken to Cork University Hospital.
Gardai said an incident room has been established at Cobh Garda Station and an investigation is continuing.
They are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
