The Louth player announced his return in style as he contributed three points to the facile victory in the clash at Monasterboice, to make it three wins from three for the Tallanstown men.
Adam Sweeney, Ged Bourton, Killian Scott and Aaron Myles all found the net for the winners as they cruised home.
There was little at stake in this game as Rangers already had booked their place in the last eight, while Westerns were unable to advance, having lost to both St Nicholas and Nh Malachi in the opening rounds.
It was Scott and Sweeney who provided the goals in the first half, while points from Tadhg Kellett helped their side take a 2-10 to 0-4 lead into the break. Killian Crosbie, Cathal Kennedy and Anthony Durnin were on the mark for the Westerns.
It didn’t get any better after the restart for the Westerns as Glyde continued to pick off their scores with Myles and Bourton raising the green flag on a night when Brian Duffy, Lee Finnegan and Ciarain Sheridan were also on the mark. Kennedy and Conor Kerr replied for Westerns on a tough outing for the Westerns.

St Nicholas 1-13 Nh Malachi 1-11
St Nicholas booked their place in the last eight of the Junior Championship at the expense of Nh Malachi after coming out on top in a tense battle between the teams at Darver on Thursday night.
In a winner-takes-all Group 4 encounter, it was the Drogheda men who did just enough to hold out and join group winners, Glyde Rangers, in the quarter-final.
A first-half goal from Fionn Meagher proved crucial as the Nicks held off the determined challenge of a Mals side where goalkeeper Darrin Kearney was once again to the fore on the scoring front.
Scores from Meagher and Alex Finnegan had the Nicks with a slight advantage after a closely contested opening quarter. However, their hopes were significantly boosted when Meagher found the net from a penalty to put his side 1-4 to 0-2 in front.
Kearney then took centre stage as he hauled his side back into contention by making it three two-pointers for the half to cut the gap to 1-5 to 0-6 at half time.
The Drogheda men responded well at the start of the second period and looked to be on course for a comfortable win when they increased the lead to 1-11 to 0-7.
Despite the Mals hitting back with points from Stephen Kelly, Jason Clarke and Kevin McShane, the Nicks remained in charge of the game as Paudi Downey made it four points for the half, while Lee Kavanagh, Cian Flynn and Dylan Brogan also got in on the scoring act.
The Courtbane side made it interesting in the closing stages when Andrew Begley found the net, but time ran out before they could complete the comeback, and the Nicks made it through to a quarter-final meeting with Nh Fionnbarra.
