St. Fechins goal scorer Darragh Stone in action against Knockbridge.
St Fechins came into Thursday evening’s Louth Senior Hurling League clash on a high, following last week's win over Naomh Moninne.
The momentum carried into the opening stages, with a dream start as Darragh Stone rattled the net for an early goal. Knockbridge responded with two points, one from a free, before Sean Kerrisk got Fechins' next score from play.

The teams traded points again, Seaghan Conneely splitting the posts for the home side, before Knockbridge levelled things up at 1-3 to 0-6 approaching the 15-minute mark.
The scoreline remained tight as the teams exchanged further points, but Fechins then gained the upper hand with scores from Ciarán Brennan, Peter Fortune, and Sean Hodgins.
However, Knockbridge once again closed the gap, registering two points of their own.
Paddy Lynch added another point for the Fechins with two minutes remaining in the half to put his side two ahead, but a late flurry of three points from Knockbridge saw them take a slender lead into the break.

The second half turned into a scrappy, hard-fought contest, with both sides guilty of wasteful shooting and missed opportunities. Each team added just four points to their tally in the final 30 minutes.
A final chance came for St Fechins in the dying moments, a free that could have drawn the sides level, but the shot drifted wide, and with it, the Fechins' hopes of securing a result on the night.
All eyes will now turn to next week's clash between Knockbridge and Naomh Moninne to determine who progresses further in the competition.
