John Mitchels 5-13 Westerns 1-13
John Mitchels extended their unbeaten Louth Division Three streak to six games on the trot on Friday night in Reaghstown with a 5-13 to 1-13 win over a battling Westerns side.
A dominant first half from the John Mitchels saw them lead 3-7 to 0-1 at half time with first half goals from Andrew Bingham, Ruairi McCann and Gareth Kane with some well taken points from Mikey Nulty (2) and John Bingham (2). The sole Westerns reply came from Adam Duffy.

The second half was a more even affair where the Westerns battled back with scores from Emmet Smith, Anthony Durnin and Conor Smith to close the gap, while Conor Kerr found the net.
However, the Mitchels held out for a comfortable 12 point win in the end to remain top of the Division 3 table.

Lannleire 2-14 Nh Malachi 2-2
It’s now three wins on the spin for a resurgent Lannleire as they came away from Courtbane on Thursday evening with a 2-14 to 2-2 win.
The visitors came flying out of the blocks and had the ball in the net after just two minutes through Brendan Cassidy.
Ian Mulroy was among the points as the Dunleer men went in at the break with a 1-15 to 1-1 advantage as a Pierce Caherty goal kept the Mals in touch.
The hosts were unable to lift their game in the second half as Lannleire added a second goal on 52 minutes through Darragh Malone and points from Bob Murphy and Colin Murphy to open a comfortable gap.
The Mals responded with a David Begley goal and Paudie Moley point but it was the visitors who claimed victory.

Na Piarsaigh Blackrock 0-19 Annaghminnon Rovers 1-9
Na Piarsaigh Blackrock continued their good run of form when they chalked up a 0-19 to 1-9 win at home to Annaghminnon Rovers on Wednesday evening.
On a night when the hosts landed some impressive scores, it was Robbie Murphy who caught the eye he finished with a total of ten points to his name.
In a game where Ciaran Murphy, Michael Woods, Jamie Fealy and Conall Myles were all on target, the Naps got off to a flying start and were 0-11 to no score ahead on 20 minutes.
However, Rovers enjoyed a purple patch in the closing stages and cut the gap to 0-12 to 0-7 at the break.
The hosts regained control in the second half with the help of three two-pointers in the early stages to claim the win despite Annaghminnon scoring the only goal of the game.

Sean McDermotts 4-8 St Nicholas 0-14
Sean McDermotts got back to winning ways when they came out on top against St Nicholas in Mountrush on a scoreline of 4-8 0-14 on Saturday night.
After losing their previous two games, it was looking good for the Seans at the break as they trailed by two points. However, they hit back in style with three second half goals to secure a welcome victory.
With Paudie Downey and Dylan Brogan in good scoring form, the Drogheda side were good value for their 0-8 to 1-2 lead with a Matthew Little goal keeping the hosts in touch.
The Nicks fought hard to remain in control of the game but goals from Daniel Commins and Noel Tuite edged the McDermotts in front before Commins added his second to see his side claim the points.

Cuchulainn Gaels 1-20 Dowdallshill 2-5
Cuchulainn Gaels made it four wins from six outings in Division 3 with a 1-20 to 2-5 win over Dowdallshill on Saturday evening.
The game in St Brigid’s Park saw the Omeath side continue their impressive start to the season although there were some encouraging signs for a Dowdallshill side still searching for their first points of the campaign.
Once again it was James and Adam Sharkey who took centre stage for the winners as they finished with a combined total of 1-12. It was James who scored the Gaels goal in the opening half as his side led by 1-10 to 1-0 at the break.
Dylan Lynch, Rammie Philips and David McQuaid were among the points for the visitors as they remained in control despite the Hill get their reward for a battling second half with a further 1-5.

Wolfe Tones 2-10 O’Connell’s 1-8
O’Connell’s faced off against Wolfe Tones in a rematch of last year’s Junior Championship Semi-Final on Friday night in the Grove in round six of the league. The result went the same way with the visitors coming away victorious.
Tones started the game the better team, with early pressure leading to John Garvey’s side taking an early lead. Niall Conlon got the home side's first score of the game before adding a two-pointer from a free kick to leave O’Connell’s ahead briefly.
The Wolfe Tones were able to answer back with a two pointer of their own from Garrett Cooney, leading to both sides going score for score for the remainder of the first half, with Niall Conlon adding a further two points.
The first real spark of the game came just before the end of the first half, when Mark Healy found the back of the net to take a 0-5 to 1-4 lead into the break.
O’Connell’s were not to be left out of the goalscoring party, and when the ball fell to Jackie Agnew in front of the Tones goal, he did not hesitate to slot the ball away to restore the home side the lead at 1-5 to 1-4.
The two teams traded scores back and forth, with Niall Conlon adding his sixth point of the game, before a dagger blow came with only ten minutes left when the Wolfe Tones Liam Gaffney found the back of the net for the second time to take the lead back.
Wayne Callan’s side were able to add on two more points, one more from Conlon and one from Robert Quigley either side of a Wolfe Tones point, but this was to be the last of the home sides scoring with the Wolfe Tones adding on the final four points of the game to secure a vital victory.
