Louth senior footballers return to action for the first time in 2025 when they take on Fermanagh in the Jimmy McGeough Cup.

The game is set for Saturday, 11th January at the Geraldines GFC in Haggardstown with a throw-in at 5:00 p.m.

The match marks the return of the trophy and offers fans their first glimpse of Gaelic football under the new rules.

With no O’Byrne Cup this year it is a good opportunity for the Wee County supporters to see the team in action as they gear up for the season ahead.

The Jimmy McGeough Cup holds special significance for Geraldines GFC as it honours the memory of clubman Jimmy McGeough.
