Louth senior and even age juvenile Cross Country Championships took place in the fabulous picturesque Bellurgan Park. Niamh Brady announced herself on the senior stage after a medal-laden juvenile career with an impressive debut run.
Niamh put herself right in the mix as part of a breakaway group in the early stages of the race and managed to finish in third place and won her first senior championship medal.
Dearbhla Allen was once again St Peter’s AC star juvenile performer as she stormed to an emphatic victory in the girls' U18 race.
This race is run with the U16 girls race, remarkably it was Dearbhla’s fourth year in succession to win this race having won it twice as an U16 and now twice as an U18.
The girls U10 race started the Juvenile program, Aoibhe Kelly after a tough start worked her way through the large field of competitors to finish in 2nd position and claim the silver medal.
