Naomh Máirtín claimed the Cullen Autoparts Louth U15A Championship title convincingly by defeating Geraldines at DEFY Páirc Mhuire, Ardee on Sunday afternoon.
The Jocks set the pace with a Shane McMahon goal inside the opening minute when he finished off with a nice pass from Noah Boylan to give them an immediate lead.
Though they lost Oliver Walsh to a black card early on the Máirtíns stayed composed with Tadhg Moroney adding a point soon after.
Geraldines responded with a point from Joseph Lynch but Naomh Máirtín remained in control and extended their lead through scores from Boylan and Tadhg McDonnell.
Despite a few free kicks from Joseph Lynch and Hugo Nolan the Geraldines struggled to break down Naomh Máirtín's solid defence.
The Monasterboice boys kept the scoreboard ticking thanks to scores from Boylan and Robert O'Connell as they went into the halftime break with a six-point lead.
The second half saw more dominance from Naomh Máirtín as Calvin Winters found the net in the 44th minute to stretch his side's advantage.
Geraldines got some hope when Joseph Lynch fired home a goal but Naomh Máirtín quickly responded when Robert O'Connell added a third goal to put the game beyond reach.
Ronan Duggan and Joseph Lynch scored late as the Geraldines fought back towards the end but the Jock's lead was too big.
A final point from Tom Murphy sealed the victory to ensure the U15A Championship trophy went to Naomh Máirtín.
