Talented Crossmaglen Rangers and Armagh GAA football player Caolan Finnegan has passed away after battling a servere form of btrain cancer.
Last year, the 20-year-old underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor, and his family and friends worked tirelessly to raise funds for his treatment in Germany. Their efforts were successful, raising over £330,000 through the "Care for Caolan" campaign.
Despite the treatments, Caolan condition worsened, but he remained strong and hopeful, especially when he and his family were visited by the Sam Maguire cup after Armagh’s victory over Galway.
This morning, Crossmaglen Rangers shared the sad news on social media, remembering Caolan as "one of the greatest who ever donned the black & amber."
The entire community is mourning his loss, with all club activities paused in his honor. Though Caolan's life was cut tragically short, his memory and impact on those who knew him will live on.
