Irish singer/songwriter Cathy Maguire launched her new album ‘Ireland In Song’ last week in the New York Irish Centre.
The 31 year old was joined by Musical Director Gabriel Donohue, Master of Ceremonies Donie Carroll and a host of other musical guests to celebrate the launch of the ten track album.
“It was a full house,” said the Dundalk songstress, “we had a fantastic night.
“Thank you to all the fans who came and thanks so much to my band and my musical guests.”
Cathy made her TV debut on US television at the start of July on her new five-part series ‘Out of Ireland’ which features the Dundalk native’s analysis of traditional Irish songs to see where they originated from.
The new album, which contains ten classic Irish ballads performed by the New York based singer, was released as the official companion piece to her new television show, which is currently being aired on PBS and transatlantic Aer Lingus flights.
The album will be available to buy soon.
