Dunleer Community Development Board have organised an Emotional Health programme which will start next month.
The programme will start on 10 February. It will take place at Sioraiocht Cheile House on the Brans Road from 7pm to 10pm and will run for five weeks.
A trained therapist in cognitive behaviour will conduct the course.
“This is open to people from villages and towns and all rurals areas in the mid-louth region, Mr Eugene Conlon chairman of the board said.
“People who wish to attend must register. They can do so by contacting the board at: 041 - 68 61 663.
The board held its agm last week when the health programme was announced.
The main project for the board this year will be the completion of the €500,000 Market House project.
Louth Leader Partnership donate 200,000 towards the restoration of the old Market House and the Glen Dimplex Corporation donated another €200,000.
The work on the house will be finished in May or June and an official opening will take place in July.
“This will be available for the people of Dunleer,” Mr Conlon said.
The board would like to thank everyone who has worked with them on the project, the board of Louth Leader Partnership. The landmark building, which is a protected structure, is owned by Louth County Council and the board has leased it on behalf of the community to be used for activities for the people of Dunleer and mid-Louth.
It will be a community centre, a centre of education opportunities, an arts events centre, in fact anything the people of Dunleer want to make it.
It will certainly be the finest centre of its kind in the county.
Mr Eugene Conlon said that for the last four years, members of the board, Wherity chartered surveyors, the local authority, Glen Dimplex, Louth Leader Partnership and the Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht, have worked together to prepare the plans.
“This project is a true partnership between many stakeholders who passionately believe in the value of what could be achieved for this community,” he said.
