All works will be carried out between 7pm, Tuesday 24 March and 12am, Wednesday 25 March. During this time, the reservoir supplying Tullyallen Public Water Supply will be drained and cleaned.
Uisce Éireann is advising customers in the Tullyallen and Collon areas of Louth that essential reservoir cleaning works will be carried out this week to help safeguard the quality and reliability of the local water supply.
Measures, including network adjustments and temporary bypasses, have been put in place to minimise impact on customers across both supply areas during these planned works. However, customers in Tullyallen and Collon are advised that they may experience temporary reduced water pressure, some discolouration or intermittent supply interruptions at times while works are underway.

To maintain supply while this work is ongoing, water will be redistributed through the network, meaning customers in both Tullyallen and Collon may notice changes to their water service overnight. Following completion of the works, the reservoir will gradually replenish, a process that can take up to 48 hours, meaning full water pressure may take a short period to fully return.

James O’Hagan of Uisce Éireann said: “These works are essential to safeguard the quality and reliability of our water supply. While bypasses and network adjustments are in place to avoid major disruption, customers may notice temporary changes such as reduced pressure, slight discolouration, or supply interruptions. We are carrying out this work during the night so that impact is kept to an absolute minimum, and we thank customers for their patience while this important work is completed.”
