The death has occurred of Maureen McAlester (née Kinney) of New Muirhevna, Dublin Road, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, in her 105th year, in the dedicated care of the staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home, surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of the late Paddy, loving mother of Betty, Kay, Marie, Jim, Nuala and Barbara and daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing daughters and son, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Willie, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Tuesday, March 10th from 4pm-7pm. Removal on Wednesday, March 11th at 10.40am, proceeding on foot to St. Nicholas’ Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The death has occurred of Jim McReynolds of Gort Na Glaise, Blackrock, Co Louth

Peacefully, on Sunday 8 March 2026, in the love and tender care of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by his family and dear friends. Jimmy the Blues Man, formerly from Carickfergus Co. Antrim and was predeceased by his son Jim back in 2016. 

He will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by daughter in-law Mari-Anna, his wonderful friends from Waterford Lenny and Chris, Jessica, Mo, Zayd, Ziya Burns all his great friends in the Freewheelers Motorcycle Club Waterford and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The death has occurred of James McArdle of Lower Point Road, Dundalk, Co Louth

On Saturday 7 March 2026. Predeceased by his mother Stephanie (née Doyle). James will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken dad Harold, brothers Geoffrey, Harry and John, sisters Sarah, Janice and Stephanie, nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters-in-law, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Brigid McQuillan of Drummartin, Goatstown, Co Dublin and formerly of St. Alphonsus Villas, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully on 7 March 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Foxrock nursing home. Beloved wife of the late Don, cherished mother of Siobhan (Archie), Kevin (Patricia), Niamh (Gerry), and Maeve (Kryztof), much-loved Móraí to Maicin, Bronwyn, Conor, Maeve, Graoch, Euan, Milos, and Tess, great grandmother of Lucca and Lochlan and sister of Artie and the late Catherine, Gerard and Fr Clement.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her eternally grateful, daughters, son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, extended family, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, warmth and gentle presence.

Reposing at McGeough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, Dundalk, on Tuesday from 3pm until 5pm. Removal on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30pm from the Funeral Home to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 3pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. All enquiries to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers McGeoughs Funerals.

The death has occurred of Thomas Reenan of Garrybawn and Meadow Grove., Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully on 8 March 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Beloved husband of Siobhán, cherished father of Kerri and Karli, adored pops of Lúa and Laina. Son of Tommy and the late Dympna (née English). Brother of Annmarie, Rosemary, Fiona and the late Glen, Lisa and Brian.

He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, father, sisters, extended family, Kerri’s partner Aaron, his devoted dog Roxie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, warmth, sense of humour and gentle presence.
