Conor, from Dundalk, is one of the children who attends Hub 21, and he will be featuring in the exhibition
Hub 21 in Carrickmacross says it is proud to launch a powerful new exhibition “Grow. Thrive. Shine” of specially commissioned photographs celebrating its service users — children and young people with Down syndrome from across the North East, including Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Meath, Armagh and beyond.
The exhibition features a striking series of portraits by local photographer Dalia Guzauskaite, who was tasked with capturing the unique beauty, personality and spirit of each child. The resulting images are joyful, moving and full of character — an authentic celebration of confidence, individuality and belonging.
Speaking of the new exhibition, Caitriona Crosby, Manager of Hub 21 said: “This exhibition is more than a portrait series — it is a celebration of identity, inclusion and the vibrant personalities that make up the Hub 21 community.
"Timed to coincide with World Down Syndrome Day, it offers a meaningful opportunity to highlight the voices, talents and achievements of children and young people with Down syndrome across the region. “
The exhibition will officially launch on the evening of Monday, 9th March, and will run until 31st March, marking and complementing World Down Syndrome Day on 21st March. Media access, preview opportunities and interviews can be arranged in advance of the launch.
