May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Rose Dullaghan (née Hamill) Rockville, Rock Rd, Blackrock, Co Louth

Peacefully on 16 February, 2026, while in the tender and devoted care of the staff at Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home, surrounded by the love and support of her family. Beloved wife of the late Gerry (March 2020), cherished mother of Catriona, Paul and Rosemary, and much-loved granny to Greta, Zac, Kaiya, Blake, Kael, Carla, Zara Isabellea and Nathan. Sister of Eileen Matthews and Elizabeth Duff, predeceased by her sisters Breege Lally, May Boyle and Kathleen Cotter.

She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her heartbroken daughters, son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Trudy, sons-in-law Garry and Adrian brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, warmth and gentle presence.

Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street on Wednesday from 4.30pm until 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. All enquiries to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers, McGeoughs Funerals, Jocelyn Street, Dundalk.

The death has occurred of Svetlana Zdaneviciene of Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved mother of Vilija, Ramune and Diana. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters, grandsons Gustas, Matas and Nojus, granddaughter Keila, sons-in-law Genadij, Rimvydas and Laurynas, her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Thursday 19 February from 3pm-7pm. Removal on Friday 20 February to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am, followed by cremation. Family flowers only please. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.

The death has occurred of Martin Stephens of Ballinamona, Menlough, Ballinasloe, Co Galway and formerly Dundalk, Co Louth

Predeceased by his parents Bill & Bridie and siblings Mary, Margaret, Bernie and Brian. Martin is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife Mary, his sister Breda and brother Frank, his brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews, nieces, extended family and many good neighbours and friends.

Reposing in St. Mary's Church, Skehana, on Wednesday 18 of February, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass for Martin in St. Mary's Church, Skehana on Thursday 19 February, at 11am, followed by cremation afterwards at Shannon Crematorium.
