The death has occurred of Tommy Bracken Rooney of Toberona, Dundalk Co Louth, formerly of Drogheda, Co Louth

On 6 February 2026, suddenly at his home, aged 28 years. Predeceased by his daughter Leah. Tommy will be very sadly missed by his loving mam Leanne, dad Anthony, partner Tiernagh, son Kai, sister Danielle, brother Anthony, aunts, uncles, granda, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the home of his aunt Maria, O’ Hanlon Park, Dundalk from 3pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Then reposing at the home of his aunt Martina, Maple Drive, Drogheda, from 3pm until 7pm on Thursday. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11:30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Drogheda. Burial afterwards in Newtown Cross Lawn Cemetery, Termonfeckin Road, Drogheda. House private on Friday morning please.

The death has occurred of Paul Begley of Annaghminnan, Corcreaghy, Carrickmacross and late of 8 An Rian, Farm Road, Annagassan, Co Louth

At Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his family. Paul, beloved husband of Brigid (née Ford) and loving father of Kelly, Aoife and Shannon. Predeceased by his father Peter. Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, his mother Helen, twin Yvonne, sisters Maria, Audrey, Allison and Laura, grandchildren Rosalia, Daria, Saoirse and Rían, sons-in-law Vittorio, William and Kieran, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

The death has occurred of Carol Cooley (née Finn) of Dunleer, Co Louth and formerly of Swords, Co Dublin

Cherished wife of Thomas, beloved mother of Thomas, Andrew, Jessica and Katie, adored grandmother of Thomas, Tyler, Ethan, Finn and Caleb, son-in-law Stephen, daughters-in-law Fiona and Milena.

Carol will be deeply missed by her loving brother Anthony, sisters Debbie and Sinead, sister-in-law Linda, brothers-in-law Ronan and David, nephews and nieces Ciara, Ben, Jenny, Darragh, Julie, Tad, Jack, Erin, Kyle, Abby, Alex, Mia and Michael, grand Nephews Ryan and Scott, her dear friends Amanda and Karl and her much loved circle of extended family and friends. Back in the arms of her loving Mam and Dad Tony and Marie.

Reposing at her home on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. Removal on Thursday morning to Dardistown Cemetery Chapel arriving for 10 a.m. Service followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Maureen Lynch Loftus (née McEvoy) of Dowdallshill, Dundalk, Co Louth / Lanesborough, Co Longford / Co Dublin

Peacefully, in her 82nd year, following an illness borne with dignity, strength and courage, in the care of her family at home on Monday 9 February, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husbands Harry Lynch and Pat Loftus, her twin brother Gerard McEvoy and her parents Tom McEvoy and Rosaleen (née Tiernan).

She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her children Henry, Jennifer, Pat and Tracey, her son-in-law Rasmus, sister-in-law Nora, her beloved grandsons Ronan and Erik, her step-sons Pat and Robert and their families, her life-long friend Margaret, extended family, relatives, neighbours and dear friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Bridge Street, Dundalk on Tuesday from 3pm-8pm and then privately at home on Wednesday for family. Removal on Thursday at 10.40am, driving to St. Nicholas' Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. After Mass, the cortège will proceed on foot to St. Patrick's Cemetery for burial. House private on Wednesday and Thursday morning please. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu if desired to the North Louth Hospice and Homecare Foundation. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.
