The death has occurred of Winnie Byrne (née Wall) of Meadow View, Avondale, Avenue Road, Dundalk, and formerly of O'Hanlon Park, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, in the love and tender care of St. Oliver Plunkett Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John, parents Edward and Katherine, brother Stephen, sisters Maura and Nancy. Winnie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Sinead, son-in-law Adrian, her adored granddaughter Alex, brother Eamonn. sisters Kathleen and Alice, extended family relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at Shevlin's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10.45am proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock followed by burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery Dundalk. The death has occurred of Malachy Coogan of Mooretown, Dromiskin, Co Louth
Peacefully, on Wednesday 4 February, at home, surrounded by the love and care of his devoted family. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (née Broe) and cherished father of James and loving grandfather Georgia. Malachy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife and son, grand-daughter, daughter-in-law Olga, brothers and sisters, extended family, neighbours and his many friends, who were blessed to know him and will forever cherish his kindness, warmth and gentle spirit.
Reposing at his residence on Friday from 2pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.40am from his home, arriving at St. Peter’s Church, Dromiskin, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Dromiskin Cemetery. The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Watters (née McEneaney) of Coventry, England and formerly of Marian Park, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, in her 96th year on Tuesday 3 February 2026. Predeceased by her husband Francis, son Anthony, daughters Caroline and Jacqueline. Peggy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Sean, Gerard, Colm and Aidan, daughters Mary Beattie, Jacinta Cahill and Angela. sister Pauline O'Connor, sons-in-laws Nigel and Danny, daughters-in-law Ann, Eileen, Deborah and Maxine, her adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, extended family relatives and friends in England and her home town of Dundalk.
Funeral Mass will take place on Friday 27th February at 12 noon in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Weston Lane, Bulkington, followed by burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Holbrook Lane, Coventry. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.
