The death has occurred of Susan Cowe of Clos Na Manach, Carlingford and formerly Knocknagoran, Omeath, Co Louth

Predeceased by her father Oliver Rafferty. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Alannah, mother Peggy, brothers John, Paul and Colm, sisters Rosie and Catherine, sisters-in-law Tina and Lisa, Alannah's father Aidan and all her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Joseph (Snr.) Joe Daly of 144 Sliabh Breagh, Ardee, Co Louth, A92 W443

On 23 January 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Ailish, daughter Mary, grandchildren Isabelle and Christian, brothers Patrick, Fr. John, Michéal, Peadar and Gerard, sisters Mary, Phylis and Imelda.

Sadly missed by his loving family, his eight children Jean, Joseph, Sean, Annamarie, Pat, Bernard, Robert and Catriona, sons-in-law Pat, Declan and Gary, daughters-in-law Patricia, Mary and Caroline, grandchildren Patrick, James, John, Joanne, Jennifer, Jessica, Roseanne, John-Paul, Samantha, Sean, Nathan, Rachel, Mark, Rebecca, Brian, Rory, Michael, Bernard, Aaron, Cillian, Dean, Connor, Alannah, Evan and Adam, 25 great-grandchildren, brothers Tommy and Oliver, sister Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Monday from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 9.30 am to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00 am. Burial afterwards in Mosstown Cemetery. House private on Tuesday morning please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired to Palliative Care.

The death has occurred of Peter L. Finegan of "Carlingford House", Carlingford, Co Louth

The death has occurred of Peter Finegan, Rear Commodore Carlingford Sailing Club, peacefully at home. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Edward Finegan and Margaret, brothers Paul, Teddy and Pat , and sisters Margo and Noreen. Very deeply regretted by his beloved wife Irene, son Ron, daughters Jennifer and Emma, sons-in-law Mark and Pete, daughter-in-law Erin, grandchildren Chloe, Christopher, J.P., Ronan and Sarah, sister Moya, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 2:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday for neighbours and friends to call. Removal on Tuesday morning at 11:45am proceeding on foot to St. Michael's Church, Carlingford, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Michael's Cemetery. Donations if desired to ​Clogherhead RNLI.

The death has occurred of Maura Bennett of Mount Avenue, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital on Friday 23 January 2026. Maura, beloved daughter the late Patrick and Gretta and sister of Gretta and the late Roisin, Briege and Sean. She will be sadly missed by her sister, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home Removal on Monday afternoon to The Church of the Holy Redeemer, arriving for Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery. All enquiries to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers, McGeoughs Funeral’s.
