The death has occurred of Eddie Clarke of St. Nicholas Avenue and formerly Hyde Park, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully in St James Hospital on Sunday 11 January 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents William and Annie, brothers and sisters Patrick, Collette, William, May, James, Sheila, Molly, Oliver, Benny and Noleen. Beloved and devoted husband of Briege (née Farrell) and dear father of Jacqueline, Roger, Virginia, Eamonn, Charmaine and Michelle.
Eddie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, partners, adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Geraldine McArdle, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, and wonderful neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm. House strictly private at all times. Removal on Friday morning at 10.40am on foot to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Laurence (Larry) Steen of Dunboyne, Co Meath and formerly of Ardee, Co Louth
On 10 January 2026, peacefully at home. Devoted husband of Dympna and much-loved father of Susan and Paul. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter, son, grandchildren Molly, Harry and Zoe, son-in-law Graham, daughter-in-law Elaine, sisters Marie and Olivia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Dunboyne on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Home private outside of this time. Removal to S. S. Peter and Paul’s Church, Dunboyne on Friday morning, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by committal at approximately 1pm at Pure Reflections Resomarium, Navan. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to The Capuchin Day Centre, Dublin 7.
