May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Desmond (Des) Kearney of Lurgankeel, Kilcurry, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Cúram Care Home, Castletown, in his 95th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret, parents Susan and John and brothers Seán, Jimmy and Raymond. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Friday 9 January from 4pm-7pm. Removal on Saturday St. Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.

The death has occurred of Mary McCourt (née Baylon) of Townspark, Ardee, Co Louth

Unexpectedly, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Wednesday 7 January 2026. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Molly, brothers Johnny, Barney and Patrick, sisters Maggie and Josie. She will be sadly missed by her much loved and devoted husband Frankie, sons Frank, Stephen and Denis, daughters-in-law Cora, Elaine and Ruth, her cherished grandchildren Jamie, Nicola, Jack, Conor, Lauren, Aisling, Cathal, Donnacha and Caoimhe, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and good friends.

Repsoing at Finlay Funeral Home, Tierney Street, Ardee, on Friday from 3pm to 7pm. House strictly private at all times please. Removal on Saturday morning from Townspark to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee arriving for 10am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in Ballapousta Cemetery.
