An Bord Coimisiún (formerly An Bord Pleanála) to decide on the appeal
Knockbridge Tidy Towns is one of three third-party appellants listed by An Bord Coimisiún, appealing the decision by Louth County Council to grant planning permission for a development at Drummonds Country Store in the village.
Drummonds Ltd applied for planning permission in July 2025 for the development on lands at Drummonds Country Store and lands to the immediate north, Cloonanana Road (L-3136-24), Newtown, Knockbridge, comprising the demolition of an existing shop/store building on site and the construction of a new shop/store building.
The applicant also sought the go ahead for four new storage silos with associated delivery area, loading dock, car parking, public lighting and signage, to be served by a new vehicular access onto the Cloonanana Road, and all associated site development works, landscaping and boundary treatments.
Louth County Council granted planning permission for the development on 21 November 2025, subject to seven planning conditions.
