The death has occurred of Sr Rose Marie (Rose) McDermott of Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, Texas and formerly of Saint Helena Quay, Dundalk, Co Louth

On 4 January 2026, peacefully at Villa de Matel, Houston, Texas. Rose, beloved daughter of the late James and Mary McDermott and sister of the late Sean, Frank, and Sr. Enda Marie (Kathleen) McDermott. Pre-deceased by her parents James & Mary, brothers Sean & Frank, sister Sr. Enda Marie (Kathleen), sister-in-law Betty, nephew Jim, and niece Anne-Marie.

Sadly missed by her loving family, sister-in-law Nan McDermott, nieces and nephews Marie, Frankie, Anne, Brenda, John & Catherine, grand nieces, grand nephews, great-grand nieces, great-grand nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and the community of Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Villa De Matel, Houston, Texas.

Funeral will take place in Villa De Matel, Houston, Texas.

The death has occurred of Anne O'Connor (née Malone) of Chestnut Grove, Tallanstown, Co Louth

On 4 January 2026, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Mary and her sister Gertrude. Sadly missed by her loving family, her husband Larry, their children Martin, Paul, Laura and her daughter Úna, sons-in-law Colm and Charles, daughter-in-law Claire and Martin's partner Lorraine, brothers Padraig and Gerard, sister Bridgid, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren Caoimhe, Katie, Senan, Mia and Denise, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Tenanty's Funeral Home, Market Square, Ardee, on Tuesday from 1.00 pm to 5.30 pm. Removal on Tuesday evening from her residence to Ss. Peter and Paul's Church, Tallanstown arriving for Funeral Prayers at 7.00 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11.00 am. Burial afterwards in St. Oliver Plunkett's Cemetery, Tallanstown.

The death has occurred of Breda Tynan (née Quigley) of Plaster, Mountpleasant, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Deeply missed by her sons and daughter Nigel, Kieran and Emma, her daughter-in-law Stephanie, Nigel's partner Jessica and her son Ben, Emma's partner Ciarán, her beloved grandchildren Aoife, Hallie, Cian, Mason, Oisín, Aidan, Éabha and baby Ailís, her sisters and brothers Agnes, Helen, Vincent and Eugene, her extended family and friends. She is reunited with her brothers Gerard, Pascal and Willie, who have gone before her.

Reposing in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk on Tuesday 6 January from 3pm-8pm. Removal on Wednesday to St. Brigid’s Church, Kilcurry, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11:.30am, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.
