The death has occurred of Owen (Gene) Neary of Sandygrove, Sandylane., Blackrock, Co Louth
Peacefully at home on Tuesday 16th December 2025. Gene, son of the late Eugene and Margaret, beloved husband of the late Patsy née Sharkey, dear father of Helen, Michael, John and Jennifer, loving grandad of Aodhán , Alexandra, Doireann, Niall, Joseph, Holly, Jamie, Isabelle and Finn and brother of Peggy Martin, and the late Jule O’Hare. He will be sadly missed by his sons, daughters, grandchildren, sister, sons-in-law Peter and Kyle, daughters-in-law Denise and Zoe, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday. Removal on Friday morning at St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Blackrock, arriving for Mass at 10.30am. Burial afterwards in Haggardstown Cemetery. All enquires to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers McGeoughs Funerals 042 9334283.

The death has occurred of Anna Patricia Harper (née Ward) of 609 Ashling Park, Dundalk, Co Louth
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, in the kind and gentle care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents James and Agnes, her sister Jean (Kennedy), niece Michelle, nephew Andrew, and her partner Pat Joe.
Anna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Donna, Lisa, Nicolle and Trevor, sons-in-law Darren and Aiden, daughter-in-law Amy, Donna’s partner Jim, 18 beloved grandchildren and 2 adored great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and by all who knew and loved her.
Reposing at her residence on Wednesday and Thursday from 2.00pm to 8.00pm for friends and family to call. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am, walking to St. Joseph’s Church, Castletown, arriving for 11.00am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private at all other times. The death has occurred of Sheila Malone (née O’Sullivan) of Sliabh Breagh, Ardee, Co Louth
On 15 December, peacefully surrounded by her family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her husband Christy, her parents Michael and Jane, sisters Joan, Maureen and Eileen and her infant brother Michael. Sadly missed by her loving family, her daughter Jacqueline , sons Michéal and David, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Elisabeth and Fionnuala, grandchildren Jane, James, Katie, Patrick, Evan, Luke, Charlie and Saoirse, great-grandchildren Emilia, Ted, Josh and Fenna, sister-in-law Roseleen, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at her home 65 Sliabh Breagh, Ardee on Wednesday from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm and on Thursday from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Removal on Friday morning at 9.30 am walking to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00 am. Burial afterwards in Old St. Mary's Cemetery. Peacefully, at St. James’ hospital, Dublin. Retired member of An Garda Siochana. He will be sadly missed by his sons Richard, Alan and Mark, daughter Aisling, daughter-in-law Deirdre, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Billy, cousins, extended family and friends.
Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Monasterevin, from 4pm until 8pm on Wednesday with the Rosary at 8pm. Reposing at his son Richards home on Thursday from 4pm until 8pm with the Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 o’clock in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dundalk followed by burial in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Dowdallshill.

Peacefully in her eighty fifth year in the tender care of the staff of Carlingford Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, parents Patsy and Katie, sisters Mary, Katie, Bridie and Peggy, brothers Mike, Tommy, Patsy and Hugh. Very deeply regretted by her daughters Doreen, Noeleen, Barbara and Una, son Peter, daughter-in-law Julie, sons-in-law and partner Nolen, Terry, Kieran and Jim, brothers Christopher and Martin, sisters-in-law Marcella, Laura and Dympna.
Devoted grandmother to Sarah, Lauren, Emma, Oisin, Elizabeth, Amy, Adam, Peter, Laoise, Katie, Laura, Aibhlinn and Orlaith and great grandchildren Molly, Sadie, Niamh and Aoife and all her nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Rice Funeral Directors, Chapel Lane, Carlingford. for neighbours and friends to call on Thursday afternoon from 4.00pm –8.00pm. Removal on Friday morning proceeding via her residence at Belmont to St. James Church, Grange, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Carlingford Red Cross.
