May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Mary Toal (née Preston) of Doolargy Avenue, Muirhevnamore, and formerly St. Clement’s Park, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Thursday 4 December 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Mickey and Ann-Theresa, brothers Mattie and Clement and nephew Andrew Thompson. Deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her partner Bernard (Gabby), sons Alan and Brendón, daughters Lee-Anne and Cashling, beloved grandchildren Hannah, Alan, Nicole, Eoin, Molly, Tyler, Caoimhín, Daisy-Lee and Johnny, and great-grandchildren Luke and George, son-in-law Eoin, daughter-in-law Charlene, brothers Johnny, Patsy, Mickey and Thomas, sisters Ann and Pamela, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home, Doolargy Avenue on Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 7pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10.40am on foot to the Church of The Holy Family arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan. No flowers please, donations if desired to North Louth Hospice. Enquiries to Shevlin’s Funeral Home.

The death has occurred of Anthony (Tony) Lawlor of Raheny, Co Dublin / Dundalk, Co Louth

On 2nd December 2025, peacefully in the tender care of the staff in the Hermitage Clinic, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Deirdre and sister Peggy. 

Tony will be sadly missed by son Gerard, daughters Lorraine, Annemarie, Ciara and Naoimh. Grandchildren, Aoife, Garrett, Aimee, Arran, Orlaith, Laura and Eoin. Great Grandchildren, Cian, Archie, Harry, Tadgh, Oliver, Hallie and Charlie, brothers, Austin and Des, sisters in law, sons in law, extended family, friends and kind neighbours. 

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road Coolockon Sunday afternoon December 7th from 2pm to 4pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of St John The Evangelist, Kilbarrack arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Eileen Gillick (née Stapleton) of Old Golf Links Road, Blackrock, Co Louth and formerly of Newry, Co. Down

Peacefully, in the wonderful care of Blackrock Abbey on Thursday 4 December 2025 in her 104th year. Eileen, beloved wife of the late Jack, dear sister of the late Frank, Gerard and Meta. SHe will be sadly missed by her nephews, nieces, Maggie, Marie Therese, Cora, Paula, Richard, Des, Mary, Liam, Siobhan and Anne, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street from 5pm until 7pm on Saturday Removal on Sunday afternoon to St. Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown arriving for Mass at 2pm burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. All enquires to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers McGeoughs Funerals.
