Tributes have poured in following the tragic death of Paul Conway, a beloved family man from Louth who has been described as a "pure gentleman" who "always had a wave and a smile as he greeted you".
Paul, a driver for bus Éireann, was driving his bus on the R132 in Gormanstown, county Meath, when the three car collision occurred at approximately 6.30am on Monday morning.

Paul, late of Tallanstown and formerly of Barrack St., Dundalk, is predeceased by his father Manus, his goddaughter Kayleigh, his brother Ciarán, his brother-in-law Michael and nephew Peter-James.
He is dearly loved and sadly missed by his beloved wife Fiona, his heartbroken children, Ciara, Jamie, Amy, Zoe, Holly, Sophie and Hannah, also their partners Evan, Laura and Thomas, his loving mother Margaret, his brothers and sister, his mother-in-law Brigid, his father-in-law Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie from those who knew and fondly remembered Paul through the years, with one mourner writing,
"My deepest condolences to all his family ,on the passing of Paul, he was a lovely bus driver and always had a wave and a smile as he greeted you on bus , may he rest in peace and give his family strength at this very difficult time, Rip Paul."

Another wrote,
"Sincere Condolences to Fiona, Ciara, Jamie, Amy, Zoe, Holly, Hannah and Sophie. Fiona and family I'm at a loss for words and at an even bigger loss of a good friend and former work colleague and knight of the road whom I've known since a teenager in barrack St. I am thinking of you all at this difficult time.. and in the coming day's and week's ahead...rest in peace Paul my friend you were one of the good guy's and heaven only takes the best..!"
While another wrote,
"So sorry for your loss of beautiful kind Paul, always a smile for all his passengers, my sincere condolences, I will miss his gentle presence around Drogheda bus station. Thank you for your service to Bus Éireann and all you have done for all your passengers."
