May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Pauline Sweeney (née Sherry) of Tierney St, Ardee, Co Louth

Suddenly, on the 21st November 2025. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Bridget, sisters Rita and Bernie, brothers John and Matthew. Sadly missed by her loving family, her devoted husband James, daughters Sandra and Karen and son James, sons-in-law Kyran and David, grandchildren Hannah, Katie Anne, Jack and Aaron, sisters Breda, Catherine, Teresa, Joan and Geraldine, brother Paddy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home Tierney St., Ardee on Tuesday from 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 9.45 am walking to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.00 am. Cremation afterwards at 1.00 pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Ardee Hospice Homecare.

The death has occurred of Paddy Cassidy of Rivervale, Dunleer and formerly of Back Strand, Drogheda, Co Louth 

On 23 November 2025, peacefully, at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Dublin Road, surrounded by his loving family aged 93 years. Predeceased by his daughter Carmel and son Patrick. Beloved husband to Josie and loving dad to Colm, Angela, David, Nigel and Joanne.

Sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Brendan and Wayne, daughters-in-law Róisín, Sonya and Dawn, grandchildren Ciara, Catherine, Shannon, Tadgh, Kaylum, Issabelle, Patrick, Alexander and Jacob, great-grandchildren James, Jessy and Fiachra, brother Tony, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes, Drogheda from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock on Tuesday. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Bridgid’s Church, Dunleer. Burial afterwards in Monasterboice Cemetery. Family flowers only. House private please.
