Louth County Council are urging the public to prepare for this period of severe weather

Localised flooding is expected in County Louth over the coming days due to a combination of high tides and persistent heavy rain. River flooding, particularly in high ground areas, poses a significant risk from Friday evening through Saturday.

Louth County Council are urging the public to prepare for this period of severe weather. Sandbags are available for collection at the following Louth County Council locations from 8:30am tomorrow:

Bush, Co Louth

Town Hall Yard, Dundalk

Dundalk Machinery Yard (Behind Garda Barracks)

Stockwell Lane, Drogheda

North Quays, Drogheda

Ship Street, Drogheda

Baltray, Drogheda

Greenhills, Drogheda

Wellington Quay, Drogheda

Woodlands Depot

Ardee Civic Office Yard
