Plans have been unveiled for an extension to the beer garden of Greenmount House, the family-orientated bar and dining restaurant is located on Scarlet Street, Yellowbatter in Drogheda.

The proposed development was revealed as part of a new planning application submitted by Silver Fox Edge Limited on November 3.

The plans include the gaining retention permission for the extension of the beer garden area to the south and the north of the public house.

This will also consist of the retention of the timber pergola structures, boundary fences, seating and fixtures within beer gardens and the retention of landscaping and all associated site development works.

The current access to the beer gardens are via existing doors from the public house with emergency egress gates onto car parking areas.

The details of the planning application confirm that no Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) license or waste license are required for the project which isn't deemed as a protected structure.

Any submissions or observations on the proposed development must be submitted by December 7, with the final decision on the planning application taking place on January 6.
