May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Julian Thomas Murphy Mountpleasant, Dundalk, Co Louth, and formerly of Carmarthen, Wales

Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday 1 November 2025. Julian, much loved husband of Rev. Shirley, dear father of Jamie, Dean, Melissa, Lee and Dylan, he will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughter, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in McGeoughs Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street, from 3pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday afternoon to St. Nicholas Parish Church, arriving for Funeral Service and 2pm. Burial afterwards in Ballymascanlon Churchyard. All enquires to Oisin and Rosemary Rogers, McGeoughs Funerals.

The death has occurred of Dr. David O'Neill of Dowdstown, Ardee, Co Louth

Peacefully surrounded by his loved ones and in the wonderful care of the staff in Mater Hospital, Dublin on Saturday 1 November 2025. Predeceased by his beloved son John, son-in-law Simon, brother Leonard and sisters Lima, Shirley and Meda. He is survived by his dear brother Michael. He will be sorely missed in the hearts of his many relatives and friends.

Deeply mourned by his wife Patricia and children David, Ruth, Michael, Catherine and Joe. He will be sadly missed and much loved by daughters-in-law Cherie, Colleen, Ivana, Paan and son-in-law Enda. Adored by his grandchildren Madeline, Isabela, Elsa, Lachlan, Jack, Raife, Arden, Sadie, Hunter, Ronan, Ryan, Cian, Ethan, Hugo, Oliver, Tommy, Saoirse and Tadhg. 

Reposing at Finlay’s Funeral Home Ardee on Wednesday 5 November from 4-7pm. Removal on Thursday 6 November from Finlay's Funeral Home at 9.45am on foot to the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady Ardee arriving for 10 am Funeral Mass. House private. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society.

The death has occurred of Shadiat Ololade Hazzan of Lios Dubh, Armagh Road, Dundalk, Co Louth and formerly Nigeria

Peacefully, in the care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Beloved mother of Olubunmi, Temitope and Ayodeji and mother-in-law to Boniface, Lekan and Muyiwa. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, extended families, friends and the Nigerian community.

There will be a gathering on Monday 3 November in the Eternity Room of Quinn’s Funeral Homes, Dundalk, from 11am-1pm, with Service of Prayer at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Enquiries to Quinn’s Funeral Homes.
