Ireland’s journey toward a circular economy continues with a final call for applications from organisations in Louth, for this year’s Circular Communication Grants, led by Circular.ie.
Valued at €100,000 in total, the programme is offering funding and hands-on mentorship to help community organisations across Louth to spread the word about their circular projects before the 7 November deadline.
Circular.ie is Ireland’s national platform for circular economy communications, developed by The Rediscovery Centre with support from the Department of Climate, Energy, and the Environment through the Circular Economy Fund. The platform makes circular living simple and accessible, providing resources, ideas and inspiration to help people and communities reduce waste, save money and create positive change.
Circular.ie supports community collaboration and the development of circular practices in every part of life. Circular.ie is committed to empowering community-based organisations in Louth with their work. These grants are only one part of that commitment. Another part of their work is establishing a network of like-minded organisations across your county and the country.

There are two funding options available:
Circular Communications Core – a €1,000 grant to help community groups, social enterprises and circular initiatives invest directly in communications and marketing activities such as digital campaigns, event promotion or materials that showcase their work.
Circular Communications Connections – a €5,000 grant that includes tailored mentorship from communications and marketing professionals to help groups plan and deliver impactful campaigns that raise awareness of circular living in their communities.
These grants are designed to support organisations working in areas such as reuse, repair, waste prevention and resource sharing, from upcycling workshops and repair cafés to refill stations and swap shops.
Claire Downey, CEO of The Rediscovery Centre, encouraged communities to act now, saying: “We’ve seen a great response so far, and it’s clear that communities all across Ireland are doing amazing work in circular living. These grants are a golden opportunity for those communities to get the message out there, inspire change, and reach and engage new audiences. We don’t want anyone with a great idea to miss out.”
Eligible applicants include community groups, voluntary and non-profit organisations, and small businesses with a community mission delivering environmental, social or cultural impact in the circular economy. Applications can be made quickly and easily through the online portal at www.circular.ie/circular-
