Woodie’s colleagues from Louth stores in Dundalk and Drogheda, joined colleagues across Ireland earlier this month, at the annual Woodie’s Woscars recognition awards ceremony in Croke Park.
The Woodie’s Dundalk team were celebrating after winning the Warehouse of the Year award. The team at Woodie’s Drogheda also celebrated a triple win after scooping one of the most prestigious awards, Runner-Up Store of the Year.
The team at Drogheda also picked up Garden Centre of the Year and their colleague, Gerard Cudden, was awarded Specialist Colleague of the Year.
Now in its eighth year, Woodie's Woscars celebrates the achievements and accomplishments of Woodie's colleagues who have gone the extra mile for their team or customers. There were 25 awards presented on the night, varying from team and individual awards to the much-coveted Store of the Year headline award.
Congratulating each of the 2025 winners on their tremendous efforts and hard work, Damien Dwyer, CEO of Woodie’s, said: "Every year we look forward to Woodie's Woscars, an evening to celebrate our colleagues across Ireland who have gone the extra mile for our customers and their team.
"This event is one of the major highlights of the year, and as well as recognising the efforts and hard work from our colleagues, it amplifies Woodie's commitment to being a great place to work. Huge congratulations to each of our Woodie's colleagues who were nominated for a Woscar, but a special mention and well done to all our winners on the night.
"Your commitment and professionalism set the standard for us all. A special word of thanks to our supplier partners for their support of Woodie's Woscars - events like Woscars are a shared celebration of excellence."
