May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Pat Sherry (née Parkin) of Quay Street, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Saturday 4 October 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents James and Maureen and grandparents Walter and Teresa. Beloved wife of Cyril and loving mam of Gerard, Christopher, Sarah and Conor. Pat will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, sons, daughter, daughters-in-law Carla, Emma and Rachel, adored grandchildren Rihanna, Robyn, Luxey, Christopher, Albie and Frankie, brothers Sean and Jimmy, sister Teresa, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighours and friends.

Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Monday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.40am proceeding on foot to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock followed by burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Carroll (née Reilly) of Richardstown, Dromin, Dunleer, Co Louth

In her 92nd year, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Gormanston Wood Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. Betty, beloved wife of the late Willie and loving mother of Desmond, William and Thomas. Predeceased by her parents Stephen and Mary, brothers Stephen and Oliver, brother-in-law Tom (Carroll) and sister-in-law Moira (Loughran). Betty is deeply regretted by her sons, brother Sean, Desmond’s partner France and her daughter Eilis, sisters-in-law Madge and Kitty, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Repsoing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer, on Monday from 2pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday in Saint Finian’s Church, Dromin at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private please.

The death has occurred of Briege Kearney (née McGeeney) of Sandfield Gardens, Blackrock, and formerly of Piedmont, Riverstown, Co Louth

Peacefully, in her 91st year, in the tender care of St Peter's Nursing Home, Castlebellingham, surrounded by her loving family. . Predeceased by her husband William (Liam). Deeply regretted by her daughters Anne and Edel (Blackrock), son William (Galway), son-in-law John, Brendan, daughter-in-law Louise, grandchildren Malachi, Fionnuala, Ferdia, Tiarnán, Éilis, Robyn and Harry, relatives and friends.

Reposing in the Serenity Room of Quinn's Funeral Homes, Dundalk. Removal on Monday 6 October to the Church of St. Oliver Plunkett, Blackrock, via Sandfield Gardens, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Fursey's Cemetery, Haggardstown. No flowers please, donations in lieu to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
