The energy was palpable and the spirit of collaboration unmistakable as the community of Louth gathered for Louth PPN’s inaugural Community Expo, held at Muirhevenamor Community Centre, Dundalk on Wednesday 10th September, 2025.

The event brought together local organisations, volunteers and all sectors of the community to celebrate the strength and diversity of life in County Louth.

Hosted by Louth Public Participation Network (PPN), the expo featured exhibitors showcasing services, initiatives, and opportunities that support and enrich the lives of people across County Louth. From health and wellbeing to education, sustainability and youth engagement, the event highlighted the incredible work being done at grassroots level.

“This expo is a testament to what happens when people come together with a shared purpose,” said Anna Ryan of Louth PPN.

“It’s about connection, collaboration and creating a community where everyone feels they belong.”

This sentiment was shared by Eugene Conlon of Dunleer Energy Team who spoke of the importance of community in all our lives.

“Community is the heartbeat of society—where shared purpose, mutual care, and collective strength turn individuals into something greater than themselves”.

Kayleigh Mulligan of Louth Volunteer Centre said: “Community isn’t just about geography, it’s about connection.

“The community is stronger when we come together — when we listen, when we care and when we empower others.”

Cllr Seán Kelly of Louth PPN said: “The connections made here today, the ideas shared and the partnerships formed will ripple out far beyond this event - they will shape the future of our county”.

Attendees enjoyed interactive workshops and plenty of opportunities to network with each other and get involved in local initiatives. The event also served as a launchpad for this year’s nominations for Louth PPN’s Community & Voluntary Awards.

These annual awards acknowledge and celebrate the commitment of community groups to improving life for all - attendees were invited to nominate community organisations making a positive impact on community life in County Louth.

Louth PPN extends heartfelt thanks to all exhibitors, volunteers and attendees who made the day a success.
