Overhaul founders, Barry Conlon and David Broe
Endeavor Ireland, a not-for-profit organisation supporting homegrown entrepreneurs with big ambitions, has extended its congratulations today to Irish entrepreneurs Barry Conlon and David Broe, co-founders of Dundalk based Overhaul and members of the Endeavor Ireland network, as the company announces a landmark $105m funding round alongside the strategic acquisition of US firm FreightVerify.
Together, these will support Overhaul's ongoing global expansion as a category leader in logistics tech and accelerate its platform innovation.
Irish-founded Overhaul is the global leader of in-transit supply chain risk management employing over 600 globally, including a team circa 40 in its Irish base in Dundalk, where COO David Broe is based. As global supply chains face increasing complexity and disruption, companies require active risk management solutions that can prevent problems before they occur - and Overhaul’s comprehensive platform addresses that critical need through a combination of real-time data, predictive intelligence, and immediate response capabilities.
Its platform safeguards over $1.4 trillion in cargo trade at any given moment, achieving a 99.9% protection rate for industries including pharmaceuticals, technology, healthcare, and automotive. Now trusted by Fortune 100 companies and global operators, Overhaul serves companies in 170 countries.
This funding round is made up of a $105 million Series C equity funding led by Springcoast Partners with participation from Edison Partners. Morgan Stanley Investment Management also participated through their 1GT climate private equity strategy, investing in companies delivering innovative climate solutions that meaningfully decarbonize the global economy. With funding from these US growth equity partners, the company will be able to accelerate platform innovation, advance AI-driven capabilities, and continue building powerful, complete, enterprise-level solutions for the world's largest brands while also pursuing further strategic acquisitions.
Complementing this momentum, Overhaul has acquired FreightVerify, a precision visibility platform with a headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan and over 60 staff, trusted by six of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers as well as leading healthcare systems. The integration adds item-level tracking and inventory intelligence to Overhaul’s core risk management solutions, creating a comprehensive platform that empowers global brands to anticipate and prevent disruption before it occurs.
The acquisition strengthens Overhaul’s ability to deliver measurable ROI across multiple sectors. Since it was established in 2014, FreightVerify has tracked over 100 million shipments, with adoption across more than 280,000 shipping locations. Its healthcare solutions help hospitals and medical device companies ensure timely delivery of critical supplies, reduce waste, and improve patient care.
Overhaul is focused, it says, on seamlessly integrating the two organizations. This strategic unification will combine complementary capabilities, talent, and technology to deliver even greater value to customers. This latest acquisition will allow Overhaul to capitalize on consolidation opportunities in the supply chain technology sector, where the company expects to see continued market shifts as companies focus on profitability and growth fundamentals.
Barry Conlon, CEO of Overhaul said: “Expanding our relationships with Springcoast and Edison allows us to build on the momentum we’ve already created and deliver the solutions our customers are asking for. The acquisition of FreightVerify supports our goal of being an industry leader globally.
"Our engineering and development efforts are focused on solving real-world problems, and this investment helps us accelerate that mission. The truth is that visibility is a data stream - not a standalone solution or app - and how we harness that stream is what truly sets us apart.”
Today, Endeavor Ireland welcomes Overhaul’s news, which exemplifies the ambition and impact at the heart of the Endeavor network. Second-time founders, Barry Conlon, from Palmerstown in Dublin and David Broe, from Blackrock, Co Louth respectively joined the Endeavor Ireland network in January 2024 and since then have contributed strongly to the network, supporting other founders locally and globally.
Commenting on the news, The Edge, Chair of the Endeavor Ireland Board, said: “Congratulations to Barry and David and the whole team at Overhaul. This double milestone is a powerful example of how Irish founders are among the world’s most talented, building industry-leading, globally competitive companies.
"Working with some of the world’s biggest brands, Barry and Dave are solving complex logistical challenges while scaling in multiple countries and remaining a local employer here at home. Since becoming an Endeavor Entrepreneurs just last year, Overhaul has experienced strong growth and Barry and Dave have committed fully to our “pay it forward” ethos, giving freely of their time and advice to other founders to help build a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem at home and more globally. We look forward to continuing to work with the whole Overhaul team, and to charting their success in the years ahead.”
Commenting on the news, Aileen Hayes, Managing Director of Endeavor Ireland said: “The impact Overhaul is making in solving real-world logistics is groundbreaking, and underscores the Endeavor mission to support the fastest-growing, most innovative entrepreneurs globally.
"The supply chain disruptions experienced on a global level demonstrates the importance of, and potential in, Overhaul’s offering. Today’s announcements mark another exciting new chapter for Overhaul as category leaders, who have already proven their ability to scale across multiple industries. We are proud to support Barry, David and the whole Overhaul team, as they show us what Irish founders can achieve on a global stage.”
